New Vegware range of cups

We’re really pleased to be able to offer the extensive new vegware range of  cups.

Committed to manufacturing sustainable products, Vegware is a leader in responsible business practices, driving positive change in the industry.

The new Vegware range is made from sustainably sourced board and lined with a renewable plant based PLA.

The Vegware hot cup range has become synonymous with the brand. Made from sustainably sourced board and lined with a renewable, plant-based PLA. They are designed for industrial composting and are recyclable in coffee cup recycling schemes.

The range comes in new colour ways – black and mixed pastel colours. Being double walled, the sleek black cups have a unique black base and the mixed pastel range, called the ‘Feel Good Range’ have a feel-good message written on the side.

We believe that these will be a welcome addition to the range.

Additionally, Vegware have produced a home compostable moulded fibre cup, the Nourish Moulded Fibre Cup. This cup has no plastic lining, no added PFAS and is certified for home composting. The moulded fibre lid is also compostable which is a great bonus as discarding lids in an environmentally friendly way has traditionally been difficult to do.

Find out more about the benefits of home composting here.

And, we’ve kept the best news until last,  the cost of cups and lids have been reduced across the entire range.  This means that for all the innovation and investment that Vegware are putting into their new products, the cost isn’t being passed down.   Thanks Vegware.

Takeaway packaging made from moulded fibre

In other exciting environmentally friendly news, the new Vegware range of takeaway packaging is moving away from PFA based packaging.

PFAS are chemicals that resist grease, oil, water, and heat. They were first used in the 1940s and are now in hundreds of products including stain and water-resistant fabrics and carpeting, cleaning products, paints, and fire-fighting foams.

Certain PFAS are also authorised for limited use in cookware, food packaging, and food processing equipment.

The widespread use of PFAS and their persistence in the environment means that PFAS from past and current uses have resulted in increasing levels of contamination of the air, water, and soil.

Parts of the US and Europe have already banned the use of PFAS in food service and the UK is likely to follow sometime soon

Vegware’s Nourish moulded fibre range is a ground breaking product that is certified for both industrial and home composting.

We are currently testing the range and are hoping to move all of our bagasse packaging over to the Nourish range in the new year.
